Boone Comic Con announces its new and larger event on October 5, 2024
BOONE, N.C. September 26, 2024
Adventura Events officially announced today the Boone Comic Con has a new home at the Watauga Community Recreation Center.
Denis Lachapelle, chair of Boone Comic Con, stated, “We are excited to bring the Boone Comic Con to WCRC. We look forward to hosting future conventions at this beautiful facility.”
Lachapelle continued, “Comic Cons celebrate pop and geek culture and so much more. Boone Comic Con has something for everyone! This year the event will feature even more popular comic book artists, craft vendors, collectible dealers, and comic book shops from several states and around the region. Dragon’s Den Games and Collectibles will be hosting our gaming area at the convention. Featured guests will include artists Josiah Cameron, Michelle Lodge, Chris “Cabbie” Bradberry, and many others. Be sure to come dressed to impress in your favorite cosplay and check out our haunted photo area.
If you’re hungry there will be food trucks including Big Brose BBQ, Lemon Lips, Frosties Ice Cream Express, and The Ham Shoppe.
Boone Comic Con will be held on Saturday, October 5, from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM, at The Watauga Community Recreation Center, located at 231 Complex Drive, in Boone.
